Why keep any of this?

About this place

This site is mostly for me and for my family. It is a place to write without turning the writing into a product.

I wanted somewhere durable enough to hold stories, photographs, observations, letters, and lessons from the parts of life that matter to me: family, work, land, travel, stewardship, mistakes, and whatever I am still learning.

There is no consulting pitch here. No résumé disguised as an About page. The point is simpler than that: notice things, tell the truth as well as I can, and leave the notes where the people I love can find them.
